We take everything off the roof down to the roof deck and put all new materials back on
the roof. We are not just bidding to change out the shingles like most contractors.
Hand nailing a roof with hot dipped galvanized nails will take twice as long to install,
costs a little more, but it can increase the life of your roof by 33%.
We cover every water trail on the entire roof, including the chimney, field to wall
transitions, and the gables with a 3-foot roll or waterproofing material called Ice and
Water shield.
Any vents, stacks or pipes that come up through the roof are not nailed down, they are
screwed down with 1 ¼ inch wood to metal screws to eliminate nails and flashings
pulling away from the roof deck, or rusting out, which is where we see the majority of all
of our repairs.
The 3 areas of the home that we see 90% of repairs are the chimney, the metal
flashings and the field to wall transitions. Here is an illustration of how we over engineer

FIELD TO WALL TRANSISTIONS
On field to wall transitions we install a 3 foot roll of Ice N Water shield on the roof deck
and then, if necessary, we will run new metal flashings up under the siding giving a 3
layer protection.
